Mama Rose and Mama Sylvie allowed to the rest for a day after my trip. But they came by today officially to see how I was doing after the trip up to the Sankuru River. However, I think they came by to remind me that I promised to help them build a mud wall on their Guest House.
To take advantage of the situation, I quickly fired up my computer and showed them videos of the trip from up north. I showed them our Lubudi River crossing in a dugout canoe. Also, I had to show them the Sankuru River and a fisherman with a big fish. Then, we ended with watching a video of the opening of the health clinic in the village of Itua.
They signed a thank you letter to the women of my church for donating $200 to their Guest House project. Then they said goodbye and left.
Later, I was at the Bulape Cultural Center working on a computer. I looked out the window and saw Mama Rose, Mama Sylvie, and Mama Jacqueline coming from their building which almost adjacent to the cultural center. They saw me and came over to say hello. Also, they asked when I was coming to help them. Tomorrow!
